Is it okay to give my 11 year old a regular 500mg Tylenol? He has a very high fever and needs something now. I will go get him some childrens but is this okay?? I have my Tylenols in with my RX and don't have the label.
FYI
11yodd has the flu, ugh, since Thurs. I finally relented and took her to the Doc on Sat.
Anyway I HAD been giving her the 200mg Motrin (one). He said to give her 2 Motrins every 6hrs...
So no more liquid for this kid, yea!
Darn it! I wishI had checked in DH just got the regular Children's Tylenol and we did get it down him. His temp was at 102 but it seems to be coming down at a good rate. I have decided to keep him home from school tomorrow. I talked to his teacher and it seems this is going around the whole class. If he isn't any better by tonight I'm going to go ahead and take him in to the Pediatrician tomorrow.
John-Cole has hardly ever been sick in his 11 years thank goodness and it just kills me seeing him like this. Hes all bundled up on the couch with apple juice and watching TV but I did just hear him snicker at something on TV so he must be feeling some better.
