POP Century or All Star Sports. I am a mom of two girls 5 & 7, and they would not be the wiser if we stayed in one and not the other, the price is just a $50 difference...they have only been to WDW one other time and we stayed at CBR.

Any opinions or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.:confused3

POP! They have their own bus whereas All Star shares buses with each other.

Pop!! They will love the larger than life icons.....Lady, Tramp, Mr Potato Head, the BigWheel....it's a great resort. The pool is fun..has flower's spraying water into the pool.
There is really nothing I don't like about Pop. I think it's a much better choice than Sports.

Another vote for Pop. Actually any resort that would help you avoid the very large groups: sports, dance, cheer, tour groups, etc that seem to always be put at Sports.

We've stayed at both and I think they're very similar. Pop was a lot busier and the food court is always a zoo, while Sports didn't feel as busy as Pop. The theming of Pop would probably appeal to your girls if they're more familiar with Disney movies than sports-related gear. One thing I do like at Pop over Sports is that Pop has the privacy curtain separating the vanity area while Sports does not.

Busing, I have to say we had pretty equal experiences. When we stayed at Sports we never once picked up at another All-Star resort, nor did any of the buses back to the resort at night indicate it was for all 3 All-Star resorts.

GREATTTTTTT!! Now I am back to :confused3: :lmao:
:rotfl2:

When are you traveling? One thing to look into for sports is that sometimes large groups/teams stay there. Also, as others have mentioned, there is a lot to be said about not sharing buses. It doesn't always happen at All Stars but is always a potential.

I've stayed at POP more than 10x and ASM once. I love the fun, happy, excitement of Pop. Yes it's busy but not so much that I've ever felt 'put out.' I've never had a time when I couldn't find a table in the food court area.

We're headed back for another trip in August and Pop is our first choice! (For now...want to try AoA next summer hopefully!)

POP all the way!!!

I do love Pop. I have stayed at every Value (except AoA, of course) and have enjoyed every one of them. Food courts at Pop are, as mentioned, usually really busy. Since the girls won't really mind which you stay in, I would go with the $50 savings... but not without checking first to make sure there are not any "teams" of any kind staying there during your stay. Regardless of where you stay your girls are going to love it. Pop is very exciting but if your girls have never stayed at any of the resorts they are going to be impressed either way. good luck and have fun!!!

Another vote for Pop! For all of the reasons previously mentioned, Pop is our favorite value!! :thumbsup2

I much prefer POP over any of the All-Stars. As others have said, there's usually lots of groups/teams at the All-Stars (especially AS Sports) and I've noticed it can get kind of crazy over there. POP also (to me) feels more out-of-the-way of the Disney craziness in general since it is set off the main roads, but it is still right in the center of everything and really close to Epcot and DHS compared to the All-Stars.

I always choose POP over the All-Stars unless the price difference is too great.

Thanks to all of you for your responses...we are going May 22-26:cool1::woohoo: Does anyone know if there will be or should be something within that timeframe???

The price difference is not too bad...considering I contimplated going to POR..that was $321!! :scared1:

I do understand POR is a Moderate, but considering I know my girls will want to do as much as they can humanly handle in the parks, we will just need a place to park our butts for the night..

I do like the vibe I get from POP for selfish reasons, and I think they will appreciate it more than Sports...

On that note, I wanna thank you for helping out I think I have my choice!!

Ive stayed at both and definitely prefer Pop. 100%! First of all, the food court is soooo much better at Pop. Yes its busy if you go at peak times, but the lines move pretty quick. Their selection is far better than Sports.

The pool is bigger and more fun at Pop. I love the activity coordinators at pop. All day long they do fun stuff at the pool like games and contests, usually to music. My son loves it.

They have the best arcade with prize redemption. You collect tickets from the games then redeem them for some neat prizes. I think its the only value resort that has this! i havent seen it at the others.

Ive stayed at pop many times and i know the rooms we've stayed in had a privacy curtain around the sink area leading into the bedroom.

The buses at pop are awesome.

Love this resort!
