Agghhh... who knew deciding where to stay OFF site would be so hard! The more I research, the more confused I get about where to stay!

What we are looking for ideally:

-Suite or timeshare/condo
-Min of Fridge & Micro, a kitchenette or full kitchen would be ideal
-nice resort like pool, prefer waterslide, but could live without
-kiddie water play area (like pop up jets or kiddie pool with water features)
-playground

What we are doing in Orlando this trip:

SeaWorld, and a few other non-disney attractions

We need a place to be our base camp, but have a relaxing resort feel for a downtime.

Places I have considered:

Caribe Royal
Hilton Grand Vacation Club @ Sea World
Orange Lake Country Club (but it seems SO big!)
Windsor Hills

Price Id like to stay at: $100 per night or below

I have looked at Windsor Hills and have found prices that seem to fit, but it seems they are farther from Sea World (14 miles), although doable, IMO. Any other suggestions for places? Or places to get a good deal at?

BTW- dates Im looking at are June 7 to 13 2008

Thanks for any input you can provide!!!!!!!!!!

The Hilton Grand at Sea World is very nice. If you have little kids, Marriott Horizons is very convenient to Sea World, has a slide a big kid water area. Marriott Cypress Harbor is also very nice, but no slide. We've stayed at and enjoyed all of these places. Typically, we have paid about 150 per night, although Hilton Grand at Sea World is sometimes quite a bit less. Make sure you check flyertalk.com to get codes for discounts at these resorts. For Marriott, try AAA or M11--all you need to do is join their frequent stay club for free and these codes will work.

You can get a 2 br. at The Fountains on I'drive (nice pool) or Runaway Beach Club for less than $90/night including tax.
There are actually a few choices for those dates.
We own at HGVC Sea World and it's a great place. The one on I'drive is nice too.

We are also doing only nondisney places including SW.
We are staying at Windsor Hills.:) The distance is not that bad. :car:

Can you tell me where you got those rates for those places????

BTW- thanks for all the tips everyone! I looked at Horizons and fell in love.... but, I dont know if it fits the budget I want to stay within for this trip (but, will keep it in mind for the future!!!!).

And, good to know Windsor Hills isnt too far. Ive been showing DH the properties, and so far, he likes Windsor Hills the best!
