I’m a little embarrassed to post what seem like “newbie” questions given that I grew up in the LA area and went to Disneyland all the time when I was younger. I know every inch of Disneyland but am a little out of touch with how to plan with all the new rules and procedures. I have actually been to WDW more in the last few years and haven’t been to Disneyland since 2019, before Genie+, etc. I’ve used Genie+ at WDW but not DL.
My son is graduating this year, and I am taking him and five or six of his friends to DL for a special visit. I’m used to using FP+ at WDW with my son and late husband. Now, with the five additional young people coming, I have the following questions:
1. Does each guest have to have a Disney account or can I just input their name and associate it with a ticket to make park reservations and use Genie+ on their behalf?
2. If each guest doesn’t need an account for me to manage Genie+ for them, I presume they would need an account to manage their own Genie+ if they want to do that?
3. I’m sure my son and his friends will want to spend some time away from DF; any tips for how to manage Genie+ in a situation like this where we will do some rides together and some in two groups (either me solo or with a friend).
