Need help on transportation BACK to airport!

So, we've decided to rent a car on Friday to be dropped off at Budget in Cape Canaveral on Saturday morning.

Question is: Can we get a 1 way transfer from DCL for the Bus ride back to MCO? OR will we need to rent a car for the 45 min. drive? I sure hope not!

Has anyone done this and how can it be arranged?

You can get one-way transfers from DCL -- I always do the same thing you're planning on doing. I always book mine onto my reservation, but I'm sure you can add them at any time.

we have done this a few times before. It is actually nice. You can have a car to use, and make stops, and enjoy our time the day before going to Port Canaveral. I know it might be a touch cheaper if we rented a car to return to the airport, but frankly, i just don't feel like it is that much savings for the hassle of getting one. If i remember right you can buy transfers at the pier, but i would just call ahead and check to be sure. Or if you booked through a travel agent, they can add on a one way transfer ahead for you.

i've read on these boards that you can even book a transfer while on the ship. we use the bus one way, port to the airport when we cruise. works out great.

You can definately book a one way transfer while onboard. Just stop by guest services and book it. It costs $25.00 per person for the one-way to MCO or WDW.

We did this on our cruise last year and it was no problem...we actually booked it the morning of debarkation, but you can book it anytime while onboard.

One thing to consider is the number of people traveling. For our family of 6 on the Dec. 27 sailing, we picked up a minivan from Budget at MCO and returned it to Port Canaveral. For the return to the airport at the end of the cruise, we booked a van-and-driver from Tiffany Towncars for $85 (plus tip). The cost was less than the transfers, and the van left when we were ready (and got us to the airport a whole lot faster than the Disney bus).
