I've never been to Universal. My family and I have always gone to WDW. But I'll be going on my Senior Trip in March, and for one day we are going to Universal. We have to choose between Universal or IOA. So after much thought, I've decided that I'll do IOA. There's more there that I think I'd like.

I "Youtube'd" all the rides that I want to go on already at IOA, and I have a few questions for all of the IOA experts out there.

1. I really want to try Dueling Dragons. It looks like a lot of fun. I love roller coasters, but I can wimp out, especially on the bigger ones. I've been to Six Flags Great Adventure a few times, and I've ridden a couple of the bigger roller coasters there, such as Supermans Ultimate Flight (my fave!). Is Dueling Dragons really bad, loop and intensity wise? I don't get motion sickness or anything, I'm just not a fan of the crazy heights and loops. From what I've seen on Youtube, it doesn't look bad, but looks can be decieving!

2. Is the Jurassic Park ride scary? Do the dinos pop out at you? I am scared of dinosaurs because I watched Jurassic Park when I was really young and I have a huge imagination and it scared the bajeezers out of me. I do Dinosaur over at WDW, but that still scares me. It's not as bad, but now that I'm actually "entering Jurassic Park" and all of those dinos that scared me from the movie are going to be close to me, I don't if I want to ride it. Again, I "Youtube'd" it and it didn't look that bad. It seemed like the dinos are in plain sight for the whole ride, but the camera didn't show everything. I can do that ride as long as nothing pops out at you (aka raptors! )

Thanks for ANY info! I'm really looking forward to do IOA in March!!

ETA: Also, what is Storm Force Accelatron? Is it just a teacup type ride?

Have you ridden Batman the Ride at SFGA? It is in that same league. Superman is a flyer where Dueling Dragons is an inverted like Batman the Ride.

Part of the JPRA is just like the movie where things jump out at you.

Yes Storm Force is just another Tea Cup ride.

Thanks!

I haven't ridden the Batman ride (the lines were too long when I've been there and we had limited time). I really want to ride it. It looks like fun, like Dueling Dragons.

I LOVE DD and especially Fire! I could ride it all day. I don't think it's bad at all and the queue is the most detailed I have ever seen anywhere. Here are some pics of the ride. Hope you like!

Yes...both are different so make sure you ride Ice and Fire...not just one. :thumbsup2

Ok! I'll try! We only have a few hours at Universal, so I'll see if we can do both tracks! Which one is better?? I'll make sure to do that one incase I can't squeeze in the other side.

I like Fire better..it's faster and has a little surprise at the end of the track....but I'm not telling! ;)

I like Fire better, but prefer FRONT row on Ice....cool surprise that I won't give away....you'll just have to ride BOTH :thumbsup2

I'm going to try to do both! I'm not sure how long we're at Universal or how busy it'll be, but hopefully I'll be able to do both. :yay:

If you get to the park really, really early, you should be able to do front row on both of them.
