Hello my Dis friends,
Please help!

I'm planning a Land, Sea, Land vacation in the fall, and am trying to stretch my $$ as much as I can. The 2nd part of my vaction will see me qualify for free dining (woo hoo!) but I have a question about park admission.

We need an 8 day park admission (with hopper) total. Min requirements for free dining are the purchase of a 2 day admission.
Can I purchase a 6 day as part of my 1st reservation (pre-cruise use 2 days) and only 2 day for our post cruise stay (& free dining) -using 4 days from 1st check-in. Does anyone follow?

How do annual passholders work it if they stay on property with the free dining?

Thanks a bunch! :flower3:

First of all, :welcome:

AP holders can not get free dining unless they buy the 2 day base tickets. Typically they will hold onto those 2 day tickets and use them to renew their AP.

If your land, sea, land trip is all done within a 14 day time span, I would get the 8 day hopper with the first package, and for the FD package just buy the minimum 2-day non-hopper ticket and save it for a future trip.

Hey Smitch!
Thanks for your response (& welcome - I didn't realize that was my 1st post :) I've been following for a few months & just recently registered.

I never thought of the 8 day as on previous visits, they linked the park tickets to our room key. Any idea how long the 2 day would be good for if never used.

Thanks for the option.

The 2 day ticket would not expire as long as you do not use it until you are ready (even if it is several years between visits). You can have them removed from your KTTW card at checkin and they will become a separate unused ticket for future use.

Everything Smitch said is exactly right. I just wanted to add that even though your tickets are on your (first) room key, the tickets will still be usable until they expire. You can have the remaining days transferred to your new room key if you want, though, to make it easier.

The tickets will be good for 14 days after first use, so depending on how long your cruise is, you might just be able to do that without a problem.

Just my imput here:) You are going to be exhausted! Either way you do it. We have been to WDW both before and after our cruise and the cruise takes a lot out of you. (Especially if it's a DCL cruise, you are never in your room either) Are you sure you want all those park days? It takes us sometimes a week to recover from a cruise. We feel like we have sea legs and can't get our balance. Don't you want any down time?
For us it works out to give us a day or two off so we can relax. Doing even one park a day for 8 days can be a tiring task for anyone especially with a cruise. Do you need the hopper option? You do save a bit of money the more days you use but you may not end up using all those days. I would rather just pay for the days I know I am going to go to the parks.

Thanks to all for your responses.
Yes this is going to be one HUGE trip for us. We kind of wanted to do it all. I know we are going to be exaused, but it will be so worth it. Did I mention we are doing the Halloween & Christmas party ANNNDD ...I'm trying to squeeze in the Mickey's Jingle Jungle and possibly the Castaway Cay 5k!
This is the go big or well..ya we are going big!
