Need help - is this possible???

I booked a trip (with 6-day base tickets) for my family to take advantage of the free meal plan from Aug 25-31, but my son will be starting high school on the 29th as it turns out. I would have to push my reservation back 3 days and go from the 22nd through the 28th.

I understand that they cannot give me the free meal plan for the 3 days before the program starts, but if I make a seperate reservation for the 22nd-25th without the meal plan and for 25th-28th with the free meal plan I would need to buy 2 sets of 3-day park tickets for each reservation - VERY EXPENSIVE!

Can't the front desk at the hotel just put 3-day base tickets on my 22nd reservation and then remove 3 days from my 25th reservation so that I can use all 6 days without having to pay double the price?

I called WDW Travel and they said there was nothing they could do. Anyone ever have this problem, and find a solution?

What you will want to do is book a room only ressie for the first dates, then book a room, ticket.free dining package for the later dates. Get enough days of park tickets for ALL your days with your package. When you check in for your room only ressie, go to guest services to pick up your park tickets prior to your package dates.
There is a limit to how many days in advanced you can get your tickets adn I am not sure if it is 2 or 3.
