Hello all! This will be my family's first trip to Disney World so we don't know all the tips and tricks of getting around just yet. I've done all the research I can but still have a pressing concern. I was not one of the people fortunate enough to get an Elsa and Anna FP, so we are planning on arriving at rope drop for the Extra Magic Hour and head straight to the Princess Fairytale Hall to wait in line, as this meeting is a must for my DD. My questions is, what is the most efficient way to get there the quickest? Make a mad dash or railroad it to Fantasyland? Any other suggestions? All help will be greatly appreciated.

You mean take the steam train? Don't do it. the train does not stop in Fantasyland. Closest you'll be able to get will be Storybook Circus and by the time you get there, it'll be at least a 3 hour line for the princesses.

Just from reading (I've not done the Frozen dash myself) MANY people will be doing the same and rope drop has changed to keep the process civilized. You won't really be able to "mad dash", as cast members will hold back the crowd and walk everyone (briskly ) back toward fantasyland. Get there EARLY and bring your patience and best Disney attitude is your best bet (and keep checking for a miracle A&E FP to appear ;) )

OP, have you checked availability again? You don't say when you first tried to get one, but they have extended the hours for Anna and Elsa which has opened up additional FP slots which never existed for those hours.

Failing that, you may want to pop over to easywdw and have a look at a recent video posted by Josh on there. There are notes that follow and photos detailing what he believes to be the best strategy. Good luck. And welcome :goodvibes

There is no more mad dash for A&E; CM now walk the RD crowd up Main Street, through the Castle and around the carousel to get to the A&E meet. This was implemented for safety as people were, of course, making a mad dash to them. Avoid the train as that drops off nowhere near their M&G. It's a good 8-10 minute walk from Storybook Circus to Princess Fairytale Hall. Your BEST bet is to keep trying to FP+. Check multiple times each day and maybe you'll get lucky. A pre-park opening ADR at Crystal Palace is another option but those times have been harder to get than dinner at Be Our Guest. Keep checking though. If all else fails, get to MK early enough to be at the head of pack being led up Main St.

Keep trying, they just announced that they are going to extend the hours and keep it open until the park closes now, opposed to closing early as they were doing. I saw the announcement thanks to this board on Monday and was able to get one for June 30th that night! You may be able to get one later on at night now, keep trying.....Good Luck....

We didn't make rope drop in time for the slow walk done by the cast members but from what I have read, they take you thru the castle and on to the meet and greet queue location.

What my family did to make our FP time was to take the second entrance to Tomorrowland from the main hub and then take a left onto the path that is right before the Belle meet and greet. That path brought us right to the FP entrance.

Good luck.

We are here now and from what I've seen over 3 days, is to go around lunch. We went to see Rapunzel at 6:15 pm and the line for A&E was 3 and 1/2 hours, morning is just as bad. If you usually take an afternoon break, just go wait in line for A&E one day instead.

watching that video makes me very nervous......the crowds.....

I heard with elsa and anna...try when a parade is going on or even wishes...

I agree with checking fast pass again, I just checked and there were different times available for the week we are going in July after 5pm

Thank you so much for all your advice. I first tried for one at my 60 day mark, but there were none, and then again when they first added more (when A&E were first moved to MK from Epcot) but no luck either time. I've periodically checked but still a no go. Wish I would've known about the June 1 FPs :( Since our trip is already next week (yikes!), all I can do is hope to luck out and grab one. Thanks everyone! The videos and new information are very helpful.

OMG! This video makes me nervous for coming out of CRT after an 8:05 ADR. What a mob!

If you are going to try the rope drop for the M&G I would consider doing it on a non EMH day. EMH days are always the busiest.

I think you mean a left at the Merida Meet & Greet. It's been a few princesses and several years since Belle's was there was there.

I was able to grab 2 FP for A&E just this week and I'm just 2 weeks out from our trip. Keep checking. I had gone in to remove a few FP from a couple ppl in my group who I realized wouldn't be riding space Mtn and saw the A&E available so I grabbed them. Keep looking! They are in the parade too so at least you can see them there without waiting in a 300 min line.

not sure of your dates but A&E MG is currently available for Saturday, July 5th

so yeah - anybody checking - you really do have to get that FP+ @ midnight of your 30/60 day!

I checked the wait times last night around 8:45pm and the wait was 'only 85' minutes or so. If your kids are up for it, an evening wait with quick service dinner in line might night be a bad strategy? I didn't check the wait at 6:30 or 7 thou...
