Hi everyone,

I know with all of you experts out there someone has to be able to help me. We are celebrating my daughters at Teppan Edo or as my daughter says "the restaurant where they cook in front you." This is her choice for where she would like to eat her birthday dinner. The problem with Teppan Edo is they are not owned by Disney so I can't order a custom cake there. They do offer the standard yellow cake that you can order at the podium and that is where the other problem comes in, my daughter is allergic to Yellow #5,6 food dye. There is yellow #5,6 food dye in the cake. So, we then we would need to order a chocolate cake, but the chocolate cake comes with colored confetti, which also has the yellow food dye in the confetti.
So I know I need to order the custom cake, but I am having trouble getting one. Also, Teppan Edo says we can bring a cake in from somewhere else, but they can't store it for us or serve it as that is against state law. I have no problem serving it myself, but I can't carry a cake around Epcot. I was thinking if it isn't too hot (we are going in Feb)we could put it in a locker since we will only be there like 1/2 a day.
Does anyone know if I can order a cake and have delivered to the hotel(ASMovies?) Where would that cake come from? Do I need to be in the room to get the cake or would they just leave it there? I would like to get just a simple chocolate cake with chocolate icing with Happy Birthday written on it.
I have never had so much trouble ordering a cake before. PLEASE HELP ME.

I have never ordered a birthday cake myself, so I am not the best person to be answering this question, but I think you might be able to order a cake from Boardwalk Bakery and pick it up yourself or have someone in your party pick it up right before you go to dinner. I know that's not the most convenient option, but Boardwalk is only a short walk from Epcot's International Gateway and Japan is not a long walk from Intl Gateway either. Hopefully someone here will have a better suggestion for you, but I just thought I would mention it in case you don't find any other way.

Have a great trip and I hope your daughter has a wonderful birthday!

You can get a cake from the food court at All Stars, according to reports. I am not sure if someone at the cake hotline will be able to help you with this. If you arrive a couple days in advance you can arrange it when you arrive.

The other option is exiting the International Gateway at Epcot (between UK and France, not far from Teppan Edo at all) and picking up a cake from Boardwalk Bakery. You can pre-order it by calling BWI's Private Dining line (usually. Like all things Disney, reports vary ;)), also with 48 hours notice.

GL!

I hope your thread doesn't get merged with the cake thread. I asked about getting a cake at Nine Dragons, another WS restaurant, but didn't get any replies. I don't want one of the premade cakes either. If that's my only option, I'll pass. If you do contact Boardwalk Bakery, please let us know what the options are (cake flavor, icing flavor, sizes, & decorations). In the meantime, I hope you get more suggestions.

ETA: The price of the different options & sizes would be awesome, if it's not too much trouble to write it all down. TIA for any info you may have to share.:)
