Need help from ticket upgrade experts..please

I understand I can use WDW hopper tickets with remaining days at DLR. I also understand that they will only do one day at a time and take 1 day off my WDW hopper ticket and give me a 1 day hopper ticket at DLR.

My question is...Once you have the one day DLR hopper ticket can you use that ticket to upgrade to a 3 day park hopper?

If so what value will they apply to the upgraded ticket? Would it be the full value of a 1 day hopper ticket?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

This is a tricky one! I'm inclined to say no, or at least I'm going to for sure say that it wouldn't be the full value of a one-day parkhopper. Usually when upgrading, the upgrade value is the value that you PAID for the ticket, so say you found a discount somewhere else and paid $80 for a ticket that normally costs $100. When you upgrade, the value that you paid is encoded on the ticket, so you only get $80 toward the ticket, even though the going rate for the ticket is $100. I'm not sure if WDW trade-in tickets are even upgradeable at all since it's a special situation, but if they are, I highly doubt they'd be worth the value of a full one-day hopper because when you buy multiple days at WDW, the cost of a day goes down with the length of your parkhopper.

I'd call to be honest, and don't be surprised if even the CM's on the phone don't give you a straight answer. If you find someone that says it IS allowed, get their name and try to get it in writing!

I wouldn't think you'd be able to simply because of the upgrade-within-14-days-of-first-use clause to all tickets. If you are using a 1-day hopper that came from a non-expiring WDW hopper, I'm assuming you used your first day at WDW more than 14 days ago, so any upgrade privileges would be null.
