Hello everyone,
We are a family of 4 and will be arriving at HH on Sat the 17th. We will be staying in a studio the first night. My parents, Brother, Sis-in-law, neice and Nephew are arriving on Sunday the 18th so we will be moving from the studio to a Grand Villa. This will be my first time in a GV so I'm sooooo excited:woohoo: My plan is to go to the Piggly Wiggly on the 17th and buy all the non perishable food so when we move into the GV the next day I will at least have food there before my family arrives. We figured that we could get the perishable stuff on Sunday after we're checked into the villa. My question is this: When we check out of the studio Sunday morning will bell services keep my bags of groceries (non perishable) along with my luggage until the GV is ready for us to check in? Has anyone ever done this? Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

We were at HHI several weeks ago. Stayed in Bluffton SAt night and I drove over to DVC 8:00am Sunday morning to check in and much to my surprise I had my pick of 2 bedrooms available at 8:00am. So your GV maybe ready early, you may even be able to get an indication of that when you checkin on Sat? If so, you can wait and buy all of your groceries and have the placed stocked when the rest of the family arrives.

We are going to HH in Oct. and plan on staying in Bluffton the nite before. Where did you stay in Bluffton. Thanks.

There's a big refrigerator in a room right off the lobby and they'll let you store all your perishables right in there. One time, I remember they were so helpful when we moved rooms. DH had already gone golfing and I wanted to do a resort activity at 9:00, so they told me to leave the perishables in a plastic bag in our refrigerator and they would move it for us. What was nice was that there was an item I didn't know about in the freezer (DH had snuck it into the cart at Piggly-Wiggly) that they moved to our new freezer.

We have had a GV 5 times. Have always checked in on a Sunday. Only once has it not been ready upon arrival (usually around 11 am) We think that since the points for a GV are so crazy high on Sat. that it sits empty most of the time. This year there were less of us, so no GV, but our 2BR was ready at 8am on Sun.

Due to the resort size, i don't recall bell services???? But, I am sure the front desk can assist with storage, I would give this resort a quick call direct to find out, not member services
