My girlfriend is begging me to stay at BC for our sept trip. Right now we are book at CBR and I am having trouble justifying the additional cost, but will probably cave in soon. (we had a bad experience recently in cancun and this is our make up trip, so I have to make this a great vacation for her) ANYWAY, here are the questions I have:

1. if we get a std. room, is there any special room requests I should ask for, down a certain hall, by an elevator, etc. I can't tell from the maps I have seen what I should be trying for, so any advice would be helpful.

2. the SAB have a lazy river-again can't tell from the pics. do you think crowds will be an issue at the pool come sept?

3. any tips on how to approach the bus service, as I have seen others complain that the buses to MK and AK are always packed by the time they get to BC.

4. any other insider tips would be helpful as well!

thanks SO MUCH for the help!

BC is our favorite resort. You'll love it - go ahead and cave in! The convenience of walking to Epcot and MGM (or the Friendship) is worth the $$! Plus, all the shopping and dining at the boardwalk area. Not to mention Stormalong Bay. Now, for your questions.

1) - standard room. I would suggest not asking for a certain room but instead just calling ahead a few days and telling them you want a decent view not overlooking a parking lot. We did that and got a courtyard room but really and truly, it was a sideways view of Crescent Lake. Hence, a semi-water view. I would also request a full balcony as some of them are standing room only.

2) there is a small, but nice, lazy river at Stormalong Bay. And, I do not think the pool will be that crowded in Sept, especially the lazy river. We've stayed at YC/BC (we switch back and forth) several times and haven't experienced the really crowded conditions others seem to have encountered. The lazy river has never been crowded when we were there. the most crowded place is in the center where folks are playing volleyball and over by the swirling pool and the slide. We hang out near the lazy river in a little corner that has a couple of waterfalls. Stormalong Bay is another reason BC is worth the extra $$$. You're going to love it.

3) I can't answer your bus question because we drive. But, think about it. You've got easy access to 2 of the 4 parks. No bus required. And, you can take the monorail from Epcot over to the Magic Kindgom so technically you only need bus-it to one park, Animal Kingdom.

Other Tips -
Eat at Beaches & Cream. It's such a neat place with good, moderately priced food. Best hamburger on the property. Nice, soft fresh baked bread too. They have more than hamburgers and hotdogs. You can get a salad, turkey sandwich, not to mention the delicious ice cream. We enjoy the juke box and the atmosphere.

Have a great time - I'm jealous. Beach Club is my second home. Can't wait to go back. We tried something different this year, Wilderness Lodge, just to be different. We were so very disappointed. I'll never stay anywhere else. Except the Yacht Club. ha ha
