My husband is being deployed and gave us disney annual passes for christmas! We are Florida residents and will be wanting to go to Orlando on some weekends. It's Mom, Daughter and Son so we don't need a big room, but it must be:

*Inexpensive; under 60 per nite
*Clean and no critters
*Safe, since hubby will not be with us

Any suggestions?

You might want to check sites like travelzoo and even expedia. I was able to get 3 nights at the Sheraton Vistana Villages for 150 all in. Would've been this much for only one night if I booked directly with Sheraton!

Definitely sign up for their emails, so you'll be the first to know when they have sales!

Have a great trip!

Downtown Disney area hotels in Lake Buena Vista area have some great rates but need to call them direct. also value resorts have good rates from time to time and are you able to use Shades Of Green resort for military only families?:thumbsup2

If by "deployed" you mean he is in the military, then your best bet would be Shades of Green http://www.shadesofgreen.org My only question would be if the family could use the facility without the military sponsor being present. Check it out.

If you need to stay under $60 per night, I'd check out Hotwire. You can often get 4* hotels for less than that. I personally wouldn't go below 3* just to play it safe. I wouldn't want a trip ruined over trying to save $50. kwim?

btw, I would not recommend Priceline for families. They only guarantee bedding for 2 and while some hotels may give you 2 beds on request, they don't have to and if they're sold out you're stuck.

We've used Hotwire many times when we need a 1 nt stay, such as precruise or a long weekend. Stick to the better * places.

Also this website can usually predict what hotel it will be based on the list of amenities. They have been correct for us approx 10x so far, incorrect 0.

Check out Royale Parc Suites on 192. We just stayed there a couple weeks ago and I was very pleased with it. We got a great price on their website and they are all suite rooms with free breakfast and managers reception every evening. Lovely pool and jacuzzi too.

Thank your DH for what he does for us, God bless him and all those who serve in the military to keep us safe.
