Camping World carries clips made specifically for attaching lights to your awning. They also sell a rope light that comes with a spline that slides into a grove on the awning when it is fully deployed. This allows you to have a functional, generally lighting under your awning. Not really a decorative light, but supposedly good overall illumination. My wife gave me a set for Christmas in anticipation of our purchase of our camper. Unfortunately, the Zip Dee awning on our Airstream is made in such a way that the roller tube is encased in a sleave along the end of the awning with a valance attached to the sleave. This covers that groove in the awning tube and we can't use them so I will be returning them this week end while we are at Disney World near the Camping world in Kissimmee. I'll be applying part of the refund to awning clips for the indoor/outdoor Mickey Head lights we purchased at the DTD Christmas store on our June trip.T. Lynn said:Thanks. I have a regular string of lights that don't have hooks on them. I need to find a way to attach them to our awning.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
My wife says she can't find the ones that Camping World sells in the catalog. If you find them on line, could someone post the link. I'll look, too, but I may not be able to find them.T. We have rope lighting and those big globe lights for around the awning for lighting. For the 4th, we have red white and blue bulbs for them, for halloween, they're getting orange and black bulbs...see a pattern?
