I'm proposing to my girlfriend of 5 years at Disneyland in a few weeks. I've been planning this for a while. She doesn't think I'm going to propose there (cause I always told her it was too cheesy lol) so I figured it's my best way to surprise her since we've been talking about it for a while. I've got the ring, I'm asking her parents, so now I have to make my last decision, which is where?

So my dilemma is this... I want to do something a little more original then in front of the castle. I thought I had this figured out; that I'd propose by the entrance of POTC up the stairs or by the fountain during the fireworks, but I'm not sure if this is a good place anymore. Looking at pictures online and thinking logistically how I'd explain breaking out of line, I don't know. Plus, I don't remember if you can see the fireworks from there anyway lol. We both really like New Orleans Square. Its really pretty at Christmas and we love New Orleans itself, plus that's where I'm from, etc., etc. So I thought about the Courtyard of Angels in the back. However, last time we were in Disneyland, someone proposed and she thought it was great that everyone saw. So, the Courtyard is the right vibe, but minus an audience. Also, she's always said in passing that she's wanted pictures when she's proposed to (she's a picture freak lol). I'm not sure what to do now. I also thought about the wishing well at night, or in the snow by main street or small world. Can anyone help me figure this out???

the courtyard where the blue tree is on NOS is nice and that stair case it will throw her off, they have i think photo pass person there...

It may be tricky since this being used as a meet and greet area, but maybe at night would be best.

If you get off the NOS train station there is a fountian in a sort of park like setting. It can be a quiet area unlike most of the park too unless the train is emptying. You might want to swing by the area and see if it's decorated too.

Also perhaps over dinner at Blue Bayou?

Maybe you could ask for access onto the balcony of the Dream Suite?

I'd also suggest you get the just engaged pins and stow them away until just after or use them for the proposal.

According to CM's city hall during thanksgiving week, the company that makes DL's badges no longer does the "Just Engaged" ones. However, maybe you could the bride and groom ears.

Maybe at the French Market during the bands set. With a little pre planing I bet you could get the band in on it. Good luck:thumbsup2

As for the buttons, I have seen people wearing them recently. Maybe some of the locations that have them are out of them and others have them?

If you cant get the buttons, there is a pin set that is sold in the Emporium and any of the pin shops (Tomorrowland, NOS, WoD). It is a 2 pins, black and white ovals that say "him" and "her" and they are bride and groom pins. Very cute!

I think any of the locations you mentioned are great, but if you want the photo, just wait until you are somewhere that you see a photopass photographer, make up some silly reason to step over and talk to him/her ("I think I know that person..."), and tell them what's about to happen. Then, go back to her and - boom! - done.

Last thought on the photo: DH proposed to me at the Eiffel Tower (yep, the actual one in Paris). He couldn't figure out how to get the picture of THE moment without handing our camera to a total stranger so we don't have a picture of the actual moment. We have LOTS of pictures of about two minutes later. I often mention that I wish we had that photo. He tells me that he is sort of happy that we don't because although lots of people probably saw it when it happened, it is our moment, that no one else we know needed to be part of... which (although I would love that picture) is kind of sweet when I know it's his viewpoint on "the moment."

I have also seen the just engaged buttons. and they have the just married ones also...
