Taking my two daughters for a trip in August. Its a short trip and trying to book one extra special thing to do with fireworks one night. I need help deciding between two things. The cast will be me, my two teenage daughters. Both love fireworks.
1) the Star wars dessert party. One thing I like here is you get to sit while you eat the desserts (inside and A/C) but then they take you to a crowded standing only area for the show. One of my daughter is only 4 ft 9 and very small and I'm only 5 ft. What if I pay all that money and we cant even see the show?

2) Wishes cruise fireworks dessert party. This looks new and kinda awesome. Would love to talk to someone who has done it. There is not seating available to standing by your table while you eat then standing to watch fireworks. August so pretty hot. I'm assuming everyone should be able to see on the boat as its more wide open and further away. This is more $

Soooo give me your thoughts please. If you have attended either! Thanks sooo much

I voted for Star Wars because the fireworks are spectacular and it's always better to see the fireworks inside the park than out, to get the full experience, IMHO. We've done the Star Wars party (when it was part of Star Wars weekend last year) and the Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise. I'm 5'2" and had no problem seeing the Star Wars fireworks. Pirates and Pals is fun because it's a whole experience that also includes the fireworks, but seeing the fireworks from Seven Seas Lagoon just doesn't compare to being in MK.

You may also want to consider the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party to be inside MK (choose the one where you can see Wishes from the plaza).

IMHO, none of the desserts that are served at these events, nor watching Wishes from a boat is worth giving up seeing the fireworks in a park.

I would definitely go with the Star Wars Dessert Party. We did this in June and my boys had a fabulous time. I think the fireworks are far better than the Wishes nighttime program at the MK. They don't have chairs at the Star Wars Party either, but it wasn't a problem for us. The area they have roped off for viewing fireworks at HS is better than the Wishes area in my opinion. We did the Wishes Party 2 years ago and I was not impressed.
