If you want separate beds for your kids you'll need to go for suites, villas, or book 2 standard rooms.

POR will offer 2 queen beds and 1 trundle bed but the trundle bed is not a place I'd have a 9 yrs old sleep for several nights.

Suites at AoA will do, but are expensive
1 bedroom villas at OKW or SSR will get you one bedroom for parents with a king bed, and a sleeper sofa + sleeper chair for the kids

but you could maybe also go for a Bunk Bed bedroom at AKL or WL, each kid will have their own bed.

If you aren't completely set on a Disney Resort then I cant recommend Wyndham Bonnet creek highly enough. Situated right next door to Caribbean Beach. We always stay in a 2 bed deluxe which has 2 separate bedrooms, one with a king and one with 2 doubles, plus sofa bed in living room. 2 bathrooms, one with Jacuzzi bath. 5 pools, 2 lazy rivers, loads going on. Great location. Great rooms. We have stayed at Saratoga Springs 3 times and while we love it, all three of us agree that Bonnet Creek is far superior. Disney gets very expensive as soon as you need 3 separate beds.

We are staying at BC for 6th time next month. We have paid between $120 and $140 a night for all our trips there.

My DD slept on the trundle bed at POR when she was 11. She's skinny though.

You can also fit 5 (so three sleeping spaces) in several deluxe rooms as they have two queen beds and a sofa bed. Some Beach Club rooms have one of these sofa beds as do some at the Polynesian. There may well be others but these are the only ones I know definitely have them in some rooms. We now have the same issue with two teenagers so we have booked a one bed villa at Old Key West. You could also look at the Family Suites at Art of Animation.

both AKL and WL have rooms that have one queen bed and a bunk bed...

although maybe your 15 year old is too big for a bunk bed.

also there are deluxes that have two queens plus a day bed..
so one of your kids could be in the queen and the other on the day bed..

i know the Yacht Club has some rooms like that...i can't remember which others do.

Beach and Yacht club sleep max of five, one being on the day bed. Not all rooms have day beds though, we had one in the Beach Club but never used it. Luckily DS 13 and DD 15 are quite happy to share still, dd with me and DS with hubby!

As said, most of the deluxe resort rooms have the extra sofa bed. It's a long time since I stayed at one though and from what I remember it was more of a couch than a sofa bed but good enough (my DSis used it at the GF one year)

Have you considered an air bed though?

We ordered one from Walmart to be delivered to our resort as I usually travel with my DD(21) and DS(14) and we all like our own sleeping space. Both kids took turns using it and both were very happy - in fact DD said she preferred it to the sofa-beds!

It has an electric pump for both inflate/deflate and only takes a couple of minutes to set up. It was really useful on our latest trip to Ca/HI where we stayed in 8 different hotels and the hotels were all happy enough to supply sheets etc.

i've stayed at wyndham was very impresssed with the resort and hotel but we missed the all things disney :)

Like you we looked round the options so that our 2 who are now older won't need to share. I enquired about the Yacht club as we had a room when ther epreviously with a day bed but was told that it could be requested but not guaranteed for a family of 4. I also looked at the murphy bed at POR but my 10 year old son would have had to sleep folded up. We have settled on a 1 bedroom at Old Key West. It has King bed room and then a sleeper sofa and a separate sleeper chair in the lounge. I
