DH and I took DD5 for first WDW trip in Feb. @BCV. We are now addicted to WDW. We are planning to go back at the same time next year. Here is my question when I was looking at room and length of stay pass I noticed for 9 days it would be cheaper to possibly get an AP (about $80)

Disney price with lenth of stay 4700
AAA price with lenth of stay 4200
Disney room only 3500
AP 2adult 1child 1200

Is there a real possiblity to get a discount on a 1bedroom Villa
in early Feb(still value season) ?

As you can see if I book now I can save 500 with AAA. If I only get a discount to the AAA price I will be fine but do I try and hold out with the room only rate with AP. CM said you can save 20-50%.

All help would be greatly appreciated :Pinkbounc

I could be wrong, but I don't think they ever offer annual pass discounts for the vacation club resorts. At least I don't ever remember being able to get a AP discount for a villa. However, if you really want to stay in a villa cheaply, the thing to do is rent points from a DVC member. You can get an incredible deal!

I can check and see how many points it would be for your stay in a 1 bedroom. Then you could find someone to rent to you for 10.00 a point, and you may come out cheaper doing that. What are you dates for travel in Febuary?

Occassionally, they do have AP rates for the DVC resorts but they are few and far between - often times renting points from a member can be cheaper. I would keep your eye out for them though because if you can get a code sometimes it's a better deal and you get things like daily mousekeeping that wouldn't be included if you rent points - some people really like having daily mousekeeping and some could take it or leave it but if things like that are important to you it could make a difference. Also, if you plan to stay over weekends it could also be cheaper as points are more expensive for weekends. I would also call CRO and ask if they have a code available, sometimes they have them and they're just not advertised;)

Good luck!

Thanks for the help everyone.
Luvindisneyworld our dates are feb. 4-12. If you can check that would be great. Thanks so much.:)

Hi, was just moseying around..the points for a 1 bedroom for those dates is 308 (the weekend points are high and it is not DVC value season) but it is still cheaper than what Disney is charging! If you rented points from a DVC member it would be 3080.

There are some differences as mentioned, there would not be daily mousekeeping (but think about not having to tidy your room for the maid every day! and napping anytime you want without worrying about the maid coming by!!) You do get trash and towels and a full cleaning once during your stay.

You also have the benefit of a full kitchen and washer and dryer. I bring my fabric softener from home and wash my own towels. I don't reuse a towel at home, see no reason to do it on vacation!!

I also always go home with clean clothes. Do laundry the last night and before we check out. So nice to go home and unpack with no piles of laundry to catchup on. Ok, so I am addicted, what of it???

OK, last couple points:
Buy the ap. If you like this time of year, next year come a week earlier and get 2 trips out of 1 AP. Think of the money that will save next year!

If you decide to rent points. read the tips and hints on the DVC Rental board. Talk to a potential renter. Check their posts. Have they been DIS members for awhile? (Not that this is a guarantee, but it helps!) Have they only posted 1 to rent points? That would make me nervous. Most people will have you sign a contract with dollar amounts due at various times.

We rented before we bought and it was the best thing we did. We were able to try out the resort and see if we liked it before we bought. So happy we did!

Good luck!
