We're going to WDW Dec 12th-20th. A coworker volunteered to stay at my house and take care of my smaller dog and my parrot. My akita will be going to the vet's for the week.

Also when our Dec work schedule came out 1 1/2 weeks ago, my supervisor had denied two days right in the middle of the trip ('due to staffing'), even though I had put in my vacation request months ago that I'd be out of state. What does he expect? me to fly in, to work two nights.:confused3:mad: Anyway, a nurse that works on the previous shift, noticed it the day the schedules came out, went to him (without even talking with me) and was nice enough to volunteer to change her shift and work my night shift for that entire week.

I'd like to pick up something for these wonderful co workers of mine while I'm at WDW. Any ideas? Unfortunately neither of them are particular Disney fans and the RN has never even been to WDW:eek:. The other coworker has been only once.

Do they like tea or coffee (I know what nurse doesn't, they live on the caffine to keep going). You could get some of the different ones for them. I know in Epcot you can go to the UK and get a nice assortment of their teas or to China and get theirs.

How about picking a pearl and setting it in a necklace for them?

What fantastic co-workers!! Both of those favors are huge in my opinion. I would get them each a gift certificate to their favorite restaurant for dinner or a spa treatment, something nice and special that you'd know they would like. Add to the card a Mickey Rice Krispy Treat or small edible treat from Disney.

How about giving us an amount that you would like to spend on them? We are in this situation often with our two dogs, and it clearly depends on who we get to stay with them. If we are gone for a week and my brother is able to stay, then I usually give him $50 or so. If I have to rely on a non-family member, then I give much more, usually $100-$200 depending upon the circumstances. I guess what I am trying to say is, cash is king.
