need e-reader info !

sorry for a similar post in the Canadian visitors as I did not know if buying from canada would be any different... anywhoooo..
I know someone that has bought an E-reader .. (sorry I don't what which one.. kindle, sony, kobo..does it make a difference??)

Anyways my question is where is the best place to buy books etc.. to populate this reader..any tips , comments ..best prices ?? helpful insite,etcc

as you can see I have no clue on these e-reader gadgets .. yet....

I have a Barnes & Noble Nook Color. I love it.

I get free e-books from the B&N website and they also sell very inexpensive e-books. I haven't tried downloading e-books from any other source yet.

I was also able to put the e-books I own onto my iPad.

Yes, it makes a difference which e-reader and where to get the books. Once you find that out it will be easier to give you sites and recommendations.

thanks for your info... I know she does not have the Nook (that much I know..) how much would you pay for a typical new release paperback ?
