Need Disney Girl Name

Ok, just a word of advice in case you are leaning towads Ariel.

My name is Auriel pronounced Oar-e-l & as a child I used to get called Ariel.

Don't forget how nasty children can be & with Ariel, cars have ariels etc...........so think about that aspect before you decide.

Melody is way nicer than Ariel anyday, it's very pretty & soft.

Congratulations on your little one, hope your pregnancy is wonderful :Pinkbounc

I dunno Jeff...she might have a tendancy to get lost a lot with this name and people would constantly be looking for her.

I like Jasmine! But it would all depend on how it sounded with your last name too.

Wendy is nice....I actually met a little girl last night named Aurora.

How about Filene from Bambi?? I also like Nala.

My 7 yo DD's name is Tessa (Tess for short) and it really fits her (& she isn't even old!!!!) ;) ;) ;)

Melinda

Edited to add - Don't forget to let us know what you decide!!!!

just tossing this into the fray:

Lilo(Lilo and Stitch)

congrats on the little princess :):)

Congratulations! I am so happy for you.

Anastasia was not only an ugly step sister, but she was also the lead in the Disney movie "Anastasia" about the Russian princess.

Anastasia, while a pretty name, is not a Disney animated movie. It's a 20th Century Fox film, their first animated feature.

please not Fantasia - that is a classic animated film not a person's name.

Congratulations

None have caught my eye yet. I found a site earlier in my pregnancy that had a list of baby names that came from Disney "stuff". Do you think I can find it now?? If anyone knows of this site let me know. Also, we like the name Shelby. I don't think it has any Disney relation. Anyone know?? Thanks so much. This baby has no choice but to be a Disney fan. We already have her first trip planned and she'll be less than 3 months. How lucky she is to have parents like us. Keep the names coming!!!!

I thought it was Faline.

LOL! Here's a little known fact about me....when I was very young, I starting writing short stories about Bambi and I made up a bunch of friends for him as well. I compiled about 120 pages of short stories into a book...which I titled Bambi Stories to Remember. My sister did the same thing (same Bambi friends, different Bambi adventures) and her book was called Storytime with Bambi. We put them in our school library for check out.

Oh, the point of all this is that Bambi's girl friend in my story was named Faline. I'm pretty sure I got that one from the movie.

I've always loved the name Briar Rose from Sleeping Beauty.

My mistake.... For some reason I thought it was a Disney animated movie. Whoops!

And Piglet: Tessa/Tess is still one of my favorites! Now that I know there are some younger people w/ that name, I just may name my next girl Tess (if I have another girl). Tee Hee!
:p

My DD name is Melodie. She was born few years before little mermaid 2 was released. She is the only one in school with that name and she loves it. And every Ariel we have ever met while in WDW give her extra attention.

I'm partial, my first princess: is Belle. She's actually Isabelle but goes by Belle.

For the longest time Belle told us that her baby sister was going to be named Minnie, but we managed to get to name her Amelie anyway.

CONGRATULATIONS! I didn't realize your little blessing had arrived. God bless you all!

I second that! Congrats! And I love Isabelle and Amelie. Very pretty names!

Minnie Driver said her sister named her Minnie and she hated her name for years because she was named after a mouse. But I think the name suits her nicely and she really likes it now. And very few people have that name. :p
