We are planning on going to one dinner show while we are in Orlando. It will be myself, dh, ds9 & dd6. Does anyone have any recommendations for a family keeping in mind our kid's ages? (other than Medieval Times as we've done that one several times in CA)

We have done the Pirate Dinner Show twice with our children and we're going to do it again this October. My ds is 9 and my dd is 6 as well! They LOVE it. It's always one of the highlights of our trip. They really get the audience involved and the kids get to yell and be loud - it's a lot of fun, even for my dh and me!

Look on the internet for deals on tickets to the show. The tickets are substantially cheaper buying them beforehand.

Have fun!

You may want to try Dixie Stampede which opened in Orlando about a year ago. Great show, great food - what more could you ask for?

Another vote for Dixie Stampede here. Our family went in April and thought it was terrific. We were just back in Orlando last weekend and both my sons (14 and 10) were begging to go back. I know that your children are a bit younger, but this show is still perfect for their ages. There's a little something for everyone. Be sure to get there early enough to catch the preshow which is excellent.

We have 2 boys, 10 and 6 and they both are really looking forward to going. In fact, my 10 yo is turning 11 during our trip and is thinking that's where he wants to go for dinner that night!

For us it would have been Medieval Times...is just part of our ritual...Medieval Times the first night in town.

We went to Pirates Dinner Adventures a couple of years ago (dd was 11 and ds was 8) and we all loved it. It is more interactive than any other dinner show I've been to. I got to play the role of a pirate and my son rowed the little boats at the end of the show.

You should have no problem finding tickets at around 25% discount or more from vendors in the area.

By the way...there's plenty of food too, Caribbeean style...
