Need Cost Saving Help for Nov Trip

Hi,

I am hoping to make it to Walt Disney World this November for my 40th birthday celebration (with husband, daughters 6 & 2) for 6 nights. Unfortunately, my birthday is coming at a time when my husband is currently unemployed.

Does anyone have any cost saving advice they can offer in regards to hotel to stay at (that would provide amenities for families with young children, close to Magic Kingdom). Of course, our 1st preference would be to stay on property. Cost saving advice would also be appreciated in regards to purchasing passes at least expensive rate.

The All Stars and PC are the cheapest on site hotel. Although they aren't close to MK they also are not as far away as off site. Watch for codes or use AAA rate for additional savings.

I would check hotelkingdom.com for good hotel prices. They have excellent deals and have a good rep.

Then go to the Orlando and Attractions board ask about the hotel or do a search on the hotel.

Offsite can have some good deals in November.

When are you planning to go in November? The current discounted package is good for stays that begin as late as November 18th. The package is a "7 for the price of 5" deal that includes both your room and passes for your length of stay. You pay for 5 nights and get 7.

For your family, in an AllStar resort, in November, the costs would run about $1300, including tax. It would have to be booked by June 28th to take advantage of the offer. It's probably the best deal that you'll find for onsite during that time period right now.

If you haven't already seen the site, go to www.mousesavers.com, where you will find all kinds of advice on saving money in every way, shape, and form while you are in the Walt Disney World area.

If you are looking for a really low cost hotel that is off-site, try priceline and input your request for the WDW area with your star level. If you select WDW area, you will be in very close proximity to the parks and will pay the best price on a hotel room. If money is your biggest concern, that is what I would do.

If you can swing 69-99/per night on hotel, you could stay at any number of very nice hotels in the WDW/downtown Disney area or nearby Kissimmee, including Radison Resort Parkway, the Hotel Royal Plaza, or the Grovenor Resort.

If you have AAA, try getting a discount on the Pop Century or one of the All Star resorts in WDW. They are typically 99-109 per night but AAA gives you a 10-15% discount. There are also codes on the Mousesavers site listed above.
