Does anyone know of any websites that offer discounted broadway tickets for the more popular musicals - Lion King, Aladdin, Matilda, etc. I had used a suggestion from this board a couple of years ago and got a great deal on Wicked tickets. That link doesn't seem to be working now. Thanks.

Broadwaybox.com or Theatermania.com (may be re instead of er)

Just letting you know Lion King may not have a discount and Aladdin is still selling out so I wouldn't bet on it. Matilda definitely has discounts.

We just saw Matilda (upper balcony seats) and it was great! Highly recommend it. Tix were about $50/ea before fees, so not too bad. Our view was perfectly fine. The theater is small.

Keep an eye out for "Broadway week." Many shows offer discounted tix then. I forget when it is, but I'm sure you could search for it. I'm guessing it's in the winter.

Broadway week actually just passed. It is usually early September.

When we went last Christmas we used cheaptickets.com. We ended up seeing Matilda and Phantom. I would HIGHLY recommend Matilda. And I agree with the PP. We sat in the last row of both and they were great seats. The theaters are relatively small. We ended up paying 50 a ticket.

Have fun.

I've seen ads on TV for Lion King discounts, I think. I think it's only for certain dates though (and usually midweek) so it may or may not apply to you.

I rarely see the Disney musicals at the TKTS booth. If you have a Disney visa they sometimes have discounts.
