We will be at WDW for my son's 1st birthday. While we are from NY, a large part of both my husband & I's family have all moved down to the area. There will be around 40 of us- mainly adults, 5 one year olds (they're all cousins only weeks apart!) & 1 four year old. My plan was to have breakfast at WCC and then head over to BB/TL (whichever is open) for the rest of the day for anyone who would like to continue our time together.

I'm still kinda reluctant on this plan as, even if we had an ADR for say 9am, we'd probably not get to the waterpark until around lunch time- when crowds are the highest.

I've tried to think of other options and I'm wondering if I'm not thinking of something. It's gotta be outside the 4 parks. What would you want to do?

miniature golf?
bowling?
Disney Quest?
water park?

Anything else?

I wanted to do lunch & then MNSSHP, but it's gotta be on the weekend for those who work.

Thanks!!

Those all sound exhausting to me with 1-year olds. How about taking the boat to Fort Wilderness to visit with and pet the horses, and maybe pony rides? Less about an activity and more about being together :)

I agree with this. That's a lots to do with 1 year olds, and a lot to ask of your family, unless you're footing the bill for all of it.

Thanks for the input.

We are paying for the meal. We are not making the "after events" a part of the party but inviting them to continue enjoying our day with us. We are also requesting no gifts as we have to fly home and between his grandparents & us, he'll have enough! :)

We are very active with the little guy- he's already been to Universal Studios at 3 months old among many other adventures at home. And party or not, we are planning to have a breakfast & water park day, as the little guy will love playing in the splash areas... This trip is a week at WDW & a week on DCL with my family (6 adults, 3 kids) so breakfast & a waterpark is basically what we'll be doing every day. Only two other families have babies that are locals, the rest are adults. We've also touched base with the local family & they were all game with MNSSHP as they're all Disney nuts and were planning on going anyway, so I didn't think a WP ticket would be bad since they were already willing to pay for MNSSHP. Whenever we make a trip to WDW we have a family reunion & the Fl family joins us for our vacation, so this isn't out of the ordinary for them- birthday or not, they'd be joining us for some of our trip. Just trying to think of fun, out of the ordinary things we could do.

I don't think mini golf, disney quest or bowling are good with babies, just listing outside the park options that I already thought of. I did not think of Fort Wilderness' activities so that's a good idea. Thanks!
