Disnee Dad Says................................The main problem with priceline is you don't know who you are renting from. You can easily burn an hour or more if you need to take a shuttle to get your car, and another hour on the return. If you are flying in, you can expect to pay $20 an hour for every hour you are in Orlando, for air, food, hotel, etc. I look at it this way, I don't want to pay $20 an hour to sleep, so the true rate is $30 for every awake hour and no charge to sleep. A car at the airport I can usually do get and return in thirty minutes. The shuttleplaces will probably take two hours to get and return. So I need to save at least $45 a week to get a shuttle car.
I am useing Dollar, less than $25 a day for an eight day rental, for a compact, includeing all fees, taxes, etc. I'm not sure but I think I rented the car for $5 a day and paid fees and taxes of $20 a day!!! That "You are breathing Florida air" tax really irks me. Even worse is the "If you rent the car and actually use it" tax!
