Need "already purchased" ticket input please...

We purchased 5 day tickets from Undercover Tourist before the current ticket system was in place. They expire at the end of 2019. We already have a room booked and I have added them to MDE. HOWEVER, life may have thrown us a huge curveball and I may be changing careers in which I will not have time to take off for the trip. I can cancel my room only reservation but what would I do about my tickets that expire? Since I did not purchase them directly from Disney, can I still have the amount invested credited toward new ones at a later date? Thanks in advance for your help!!

Under the current rules, the answer is yes.

However, and this is major, you will not be able to do the upgrade from home. You will need to do it in person at guest services. This would mean that making FPs before your arrival would not be possible since you would be holding expired ticket media.
