Need Airfare help, prices for Dec???

I hope someone can give some advice. I didn't expect to be looking at airfare for our Dec trip yet but after a tough 2 am experience on a recent "generic" flight that I paid 99.00 each way, I wanted to check out what kind of fares are out there and see if anything popped.

I found USAIR for 223.10 round trip PHL to MCO (incl taxes and fees)
Thurs Nov 30 LV. 11:30 am ARV. 2:05 pm
Monday Dec 11 LV. 1:30 pm ARV 3:54 pm

these look like good flight times for us and seem to be the least expensive, it jumps to 309.00 for other flights the same days or 252.10 for Friday same flights.

Is this a good fare and would you jump on it?

Should I wait? DH thinks I am nuts and won't talk about it now (too soon) but will complain if I can't get the convenient times or low fares later. Thanks for any imput, I have the tix on hold until tomorrow because I can't decide.

also I plan to use ME, would it be reasonable to think I will get to the resort in about an hour for checkin at 3?

We are travelling the exact same days from CT (flying out of Providence) and my DH thought I should wait it out as well. But, I have been watching flight prices for some time now and was getting antsy. Even SWA prices are not seeming to be that cheap anymore for us. We are a family of 5 and I was looking to hopefully keep our total airfare under $1,000 (wishful thinking, perhaps?).

Well, after much shopping the web, I booked our flights the other night through Northwest for $881 total. We are connecting in Atlanta, but no one other than SWA flies non-stop for us from here...That is, unless I wanted to pay $998/pp with Delta! I was most thrilled today to check pricing on our flights and find the price has jumped to over $1,400!!!!! Glad I booked ~

I would suggest thinking about what you reasonably expect to budget for airfare and keep shopping. I found our prices very late at night while online and then, this morning found the prices have gone up. I have read (and discovered) that during the daytime and over the weekends seem to bring the higher pricing for airfare. Good luck to you and be patient...Something will pop up for you!

I would probably jump on the tickets. Seems like a fare price and I know SW just raised all their tickets because of jet fuel. Waiting for a better price might back fire because of jet fuel.

Thanks for the advice and the PM, I'm very glad I put a hold on the tix last night b/c when I went back and checked, the prices have already gone up. I want to check a few more places and try to decide by 10:00 tonight.
