Can anyone tell me what the age limit is for the Mayan ruins tour on Costa Maya that Disney offers? Now that it is confirmed that we are going there on the 10/9 sailing, I would like to figure out what to do while we are there. So far the only excursion that looked appealing was the ruin tour, but our DD is 4 and I'm not sure if she can go or not.

If anyone has a navigator with the age limit, please let me know.

Thanks:)

Cindy

have any other ideas of something to do with 4 year olds in Costa Maya? Seemed like most things would appeal to older people/children.

Where did you find the info on Disney excursions? We are also on the Oct. 9 cruise.

Surfergirl, it was on another thread about four or five pages back. Someone posted the names of the excursions Disney offered. There were no descriptions or age limits though.

Won't be long now!!:Pinkbounc

HI Cindy!

We are also on the Oct. 9 sailing and our DD is 3. I hope there is something we all can enjoy.

Does anyone know about the shopping? What about the language barrier, with this being a fairly new port of call for all cruise lines I don't think my high school spanish is going to get me anywhere.

Can't Wait,

Emily

Chacchoben Maya Ruins 5 years and older $59 adults and $49 children 4.5-5 hours 8 AM It is recommended to bring insect repellent. 1 hour 10 minutes travel time each way

A note of caution for ruins tours. Many comment boards and books (passporter) note that the tours are long, hot, and not of much interest for younger children. Adults and older teens seem to be the target audience. I know we are deferring for another cruise because of younger children. Similar 1st hand messages are found on the thread for Cozumel and Tulum. Worth some caution I think.

What about the description and prices of the boat snorkel tour?

Costa Maya boat snorkel... Ages 10 years and older Price $49 each.

4-4.5 hours. Begins with instructions on how to use snorkel gear, Then explore abundant marine life, along with coral, sponges, caves, tunnels and tropical fish. After 45 minutes of snorkeling in depths of 10-20 feet, you will enjoy a complimentary beverage. Travel time to and from tour location is 45 minutes each way.

I wish I had a scanner to post the excursion sheet DCL gave us.

Hey everyone, I spoke with Debbie (the ressie girl) this morning and mentioned that I knew we were going to Costa Maya. She stopped me and told me not so fast.....There was another port in mind. I told her that it was on the recording on 9/20 that we would be going there, but she just laughed. I begged her to tell me where we would be going, but she wouldn't say. She just said that there was a very strong possibility that we would not be going to Costa Maya. But there was also a possibility that we will go to Costa Maya. Crazy. I don't want to start a rumor, I'm just telling you what she told me. We are on the 9/25 Magic!!

We will let you know!
