Need Advise - Adoption Reference Letter

My husband and I have been asked to be a personal reference for our neighbors who are trying to adopt. I need to write a letter that summarizes how I know the couple and how well I think they would do as parents.

I have no doubts about their abilities and desire to be parents. My daughter just adores them and I am hoping and praying that this works out for them.

Any tips on what to (or not to) say? I assume that the letters are shared with potential birth mothers, so are there certain things that I should focus on?

I've never been asked to do this before and just want to do the best job for them.

I'd start with mentioning how long you have known the couple, and in what capacity.

I'd concentrate on their interaction with your children, and your observations from that interaction.
