Ok we are supposed to be going in december turns out we cant go in december :( We were going to rent a house and my FIL was going to go with us. It turns out when we can go, in the beginning of february the house we were going to rent is not available. Well now with this new winter package we could go and stay on site:tongue: but I dont know what to do with my FIL??? Disney gave me a qoute for all of us in one room? At Pop! It is my hubby and I and our two DS's 8 and 2 years and my FIL! Anyone who might have stayed at pop let me know please the rooms are just too small for that many:confused: Any help is appreciated!:D

If you can afford it, I would get 2 rooms at Pop. I would think you would be pretty cramped with 5 in a room. You mentioned booking with a package. I would price it out booking 2 rooms (room only) and then getting the tickets yourselves. You can find good prices on tickets on the net and will probably save money over the package.

Thanks for the advice! I felt it would be cramped too!

The room at POP would have 2 double beds, and the 2 year old would need to sleep in a crib or pack-n-play. So FIL would need to sleep with the 8 yo. Have not stayed at any of the Values, but most seem to think it's very cramped to bring an additional sleeping bag or twin aerobed (if the 8 yo didn't want to sleep w/ grandfather). As Julie mentioned, 2 rooms would help w/ beds and give additional bath. There are a few other options for you - you could do a deluxe (2 queens and a day bed - so kids could share the twin and FIL in the daybed-but be aware that's a twin bed essentially and may not be desirable for an adult), Ft. Wilderness cabins, or a home away from home. Anything else still leaves you sleeping a kid w/ FIL.....

HTH!

Thank you! How about OKW? Everytime I put 3 adults and 2 kids and let disney decide which resort, they put me in OKW deluxe studio. At allears it says OKW studio has a 4 person limit? Is this true? I have done it 3 times at the disney site and they keep putting me for the 5 of us at OKW studio. If I bring a pack and play for the baby or an aero bed for him the oldest wouldnt mind sleeping with grandpa. And we wont be spending a ton of time in the room. I just dont want us to be stepping on each other while we are there.:(

My guess is the website sees you need to sleep 4 people-3 adults and 1 child, and your DS <3 doesn't count in the room total (but that also means the 2 yo would have to be in a crib or pack and play). However this may not equate to the sleeping arrangements you want to make (do you want FIL to sleep w/ one of the boys?). So the key for you may be how many beds are available. If grandpa doesn't mind sharing a bed you have more flexibility and it becomes more a question of how much privacy you all want from each other (and of course how much you want to spend ;) ) You might check into FW cabins...

Good luck!

Hi there! We did a similair thing in 2003 only with my mom and staying at the ASMovies... It was cramped and I wouldnt recommend doing it regardless of whether you dont plan on spending much time in your room. We didnt either but at night and in the am it was ridiculously crazy & crowded... Using the bathroom- getting everyone comfy cozy for the night etc., Getting the kids to quiet down. You get the idea-

Just my .02-

GOOD LUCK!
Brigitte

Well I put my deposit last night on a FW cabin (thank you plutospony!!;) ) I never even thought of them! It was almost 300 cheaper than OKW studio! So if any one has any advice on FW cabins let me know!! Thanks everyone! :D

From what I understand the rooms are really small! Definately not for 3 adults and 2 kids. :D

Banshee,
If you haven't already checked out the "Disney Camping" site, pay it a visit. You will find some very useful info. on the cabins & campground there. You should also be able to get an answer for any questions you may have. Have fun! :)
