Some friends of ours just told us they booked trip to Disneyland for the weekend of the 4th of July. This will be their first trip to any Disney park. I could give them enough info to last a lifetime for Disney World but I don't know much about Disneyland. Any suggestions for them would be great. I know the usual stuff like get there at rope drop, eat at off times, make sure you use fast pass. But anything Disneyland specific would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Direct them to come here! :) Even if they didn't want to post, they could learn alot by just reading. Of course, posting is better. ;)

The single biggest tip of all that you can give is Get to Disneyland early! That means, you are in line at the gates before the park opens. Have tickets in hand, you don't want to buy tickets at the ticketbooth. First thing in the morning is the best time to get on rides before the crowds, especially on a holiday like that.

Second to the that tip, is get Fast Passes every time you are able. As soon as the window opens up and it allows you to, get a FP. If it is crowded, they will go fast. They should get some when they first arrive.

I would also put at the top of the list to get a hotel within walking distance and take afternoon breaks. If they want to read a little bit send them this link:
