Hi
Well what a day i had yesterday we are looking at changing our car and found one we liked and put a deposit down on it with a part exchange of the car we have now, but of all things my DH car went wrong last night(we have 2 cars) and now we are not able to proceed with part exchanging my car for the newer one, but we are able to buy my dh another car without part exchanging, phoned the bloke up who is dealing with it and he said that we were contracted to the car that we had put a deposit on, we asked if we could put the deposit on another car and now have to wait until tommorrow to see if this can be done.
So just wanted to know if anybody had any suggestions on this?

What went wrong with your car? Can you "cobble" something together to get it down to the garage. Remember, the salesman has contracted to buy your car as well.

The cambelt went on the husbands car and as it is an old car it would cost more to repair than the car is worth, i cannot exchange my car now as it would leave us with only one car and we need 2, however we have been to the garage today although the man that is dealing with us is on his day off, we spoke to someone else and they said that as long as it was just a change of car that we want to buy then they would transfer the deposit onto this other car with out part exchanging mine, so some good news, the garage has been very good about this. We haven't sorted out any paperwork yet so will know tommorrow.

sounds like it will all work out in the long run:) i hate it when things go wrong,i always feel so helpless

I'm impatient and want it to be sorted yesterday but fingers crossed for tommorrow will post and let you know how we get on.
