need advice

I recently booked the 4 day Thanksgiving cruise (11/22/06) using points for one of my relatives. Unfortunately, they cannot go.

I can cancel and retrive my points (they have to be used before 1/1/07) or I could see if anyone might be interested in renting the cruise.

I am not experienced with renting points so any advice would be appreciated.

If you cancel your points will be "Reservation Points", which means they could ONLY be used for non-DVC options (like the cruise, Concierge Collection or other Disney (non-DVC_ resorts). They could not be used for reservations at any of the DVC resorts.

You can certainly try to rent the cruise reservation by itself, but you need to get an idea what that same cruise could be booked for thru Disney directly (or thru a Travel Agent) and offer the reservaton based on that pricing.
