We are trying to plan our vacation for next March however having a little trouble deciding which parks to visit.

We are a family of 5. 3 DD's 12, 10 and 4, DH and I. I have been to Florida as a teen but DH and the kids have never had the pleasure. We are staying for 2 weeks...and our plan is to do a park every 2nd day with a rest day in between.

Because of the age gap we're worried DD 4 may be too young for a lot of things, however older DD's are not into the "crazy" rollercoasters..but do enjoy rides etc.

As for the different tickets - I was under the impression it takes an entire day to do a park...would you even use the hopper option especially with a 4 year old?

Thanks!

As I understand your post, you are going to be in Orlando for 14 days (2 weeks) and do a park in a day, take a day of rest, and do another park.

So that would give you 7 park days (or so).

Since WDW has 4 theme-parks, you can do ALL of them at least once, and some favoites more than once.

IMHO, Hoppers are always a good idea.
Gives you flexibility to "change your mind" based on park conditions, or start early at one park and dine and or enjoy the fireworks/shows in another that same day.

Many things to appeal to young and old in all 4 Disney theme-parks.

We've done Universal and Sea World on other trips but they are just "not Disney" and so we choose to focus on WDW for all of our Orlando trips these days.

we have always park hopped until our last trip. we had aps and could have but never did.

imo you can easily spend 2 full days in most parks( not mgm for us)and since there are night time shows in 3 of the 4, not leave till you are really for dinner and bed.

so i think for us the park hoppers would only be useful for a day or 2 ( like we love rnr and tot so would want to do those 2 things then go somewhere else)and am not sure i will get them next time since it's not automatic like it used to be

with a 4 yr old i think it depends on the child...my youngest was going on 6 when we first went and had no problem spending full days in 1 park and usually going to see illuminations after mk closed but if yours is maybe not so "active "(:) ) you might want to not go as late as we did. then i think hopping would probably not be nearly as useful and since you have enough days, i'd probably not get it. unless it's a packed time of yr, we have never hopped just because of crowds, usually if one place is crowded, they all are( not when it's so crowded they close a prk, just normally i mean) except fantasy land Sat. afternoons. (so i would skip it then and just go someplace else.)

park hopping does take up time also. so do you want to take an hr to get someplace else? just something to factor in.
