Need advice - Tusker House or Chef Mickey's

Hi. I am a newbie here, but have found myself stalking the ADR cancellation thread! lol We are going November 14-22 but our trip was somewhat last minute so I was late making dining reservations.

Anyway, would you prefer Tusker House (lunch) or Chef Mickey's (dinner). It'll be myself (3rd Disney trip), my 6yo son (1st trip) and my mom (2nd trip). I have one of each reserved right now but will probably only do one or the other.

I'd really like to get a character breakfast instead but haven't been able to find one yet.

I love Tusker House! I haven't been at lunch, but we've been to breakfast twice now and the atmosphere and food is great. Also love the characters, they're really great and the costumes are fun. Chef Mickey's was a I-did-that-once-never-again sort of place for both of us.

Haven't been to CM in a million years but TH was our favorite meal on our recent trip. The characters were great - they stopped by quickly but came by multiple times- and they did a conga line type dance around the restaurant with the kids. And the food was actually absolutely delicious. Lots of meat and chicken and fish options as well as tons of absolutely amazing vegetable dishes and salads. Legitimately great food.

Good choice! I've never been to Chef Mickey's, but Tusker is a must-do for me!
