Need Advice quick. Do we cancel Disneyland and go to WDW

We are supposed to be heading to Disneyland in a week.

With the weather in Cali and mudslides, possible more rain, should we cancel Disneyland and head to WDW.

There will be no pricing in regards to flights(taken care of) and we are DVC members so we may be able to change without issue.

What would you do?

What is there to do in Disneyland when it rains?

I'd visit WDW and go for the sure thing. Disneyland isn't very prepared for the rain.

Disneyland has closed early 2 or 3 times already this week because so much is outside. If you can switch without too much hassle, I think I'd postpone the DL trip.

Although, the rain for next week has not been predicted to be anything like it was last week. Here in Northern CA, we are supposed to have a day of rain or so. From what I can see, Anaheim is the same. Nancy was in DL today and have been posting that it was empty. Might be a good time to go.

The whole state had issues with the amount we got last week, not just DL. The storms were quite furious. I have heard no 'crisis music' playing when the weather report talks about what to expect next week.

Well if you have been before def cancel and go to WDW if the rain will continue otherwise if the rain is supposed to ease up and you have always wanted to go keep it. I dont know what to say. The weather here will be low to mid 70's from what I can see but with possible rain next weekend. Go figure.

Is this the first time you are going to Disneyland? If it is the first time give it a try. The other question is how frequently can you go there? I mean was this a trip planned years in advance? if not maybe you should try WDW and go to the "safe side".

Tough one. Looks like it's supposed to be in the upper 60's, low 70's next week at DL, still looking at some rain too. I think I'd switch to WDW, but only if I knew I could plan another DL trip within a decent time frame, if it would be a couple years or something before I thought we could plan another DL trip, then I might stick with DL.

Drake - there's only rain in the schedule for Tuesday. Weather in the mid 60s for the high.

Come - the place will be all yours and fabulous!!!!! I sincerely doubt they will close the parks early this week and you will get to see and do pretty much everything and multiple times.

Would you cancel WDW if it was rainy... I think not.....

I agree with YellowMickeyPonchos. I was there on Saturday after all the rain. The crowds were very thin. We pretty much walked on to Soarin' at about 11:00 am. I have never seen the line so short!

Have you decided yet? If you can cancel everything without losing money,, then I guess switch. I am too cheap to lose money so I would still go to the DLR.

We have done many rainy days at the DLR and it EMPTIES OUT! Once I think we were one of about 100 people in the whole park, we did everything and took lots of goofy empty park pictures, it was awesome... of course we had full Marmot rain gear on all day, so we were well prepared We did have to change socks at one point.

I agree with Nancy & Daneen, come on out to CA!! The storms last week had been predicted fairly far out, and we knew what we were in for (for the most part). DL closing early due to rain is NOT the norm when it rains - the weather was quite extreme last week. The temps will be cooler, yes, but that will mean lighter crowds, which is hard to come by these days at DL.

I think you should come, you'll have a blast! Whatever you decide, you can't go wrong ~ you'll be at Disney!! And neither one is going anywhere.....

As other posters said... you'll still be at disney, so no matter what you still will have a great time!
