We are headed to Disney on Oct 31. After hours of careful planning ( you all know the drill ) we are booked at AKL for 2 nights, DVC for 5 nights, then finally the Swan for 3 nights.

Today I got a call from the airline saying they had cancelled our homebound flight. . We were given the option of flying home one day earlier or two days later.

I called Swan to add nights and they are fully booked for those dates.

I called CRO, expecting to be told they also were fully booked, but was actually given a choice of resorts. I was taken off guard and had no preferences ready. I had simply been prepared to take anythng available.

The CM was efficient, but had little patience for checking out availability at different resorts. She had probably had a long day:rolleyes:

I did learn that I could get WL, standard for $199, or AKL, Savannah view for $166 AP rate. No doubt there are other options available.

So this is my question ( finally )

At which resort would you choose to end your vacation ? I should mention that I will probably be using an ECV to get around during this vacation.

I would choose to end my vacation at the AKL. My family loves this resort. And that is a great rate for a Sav. view. So my choice would be AKL. but seeing you are staying there for the first 2 days you might want to try the WL. But for the price you are getting the AKL for I would say if you enjoy the animals end your vacation in ''Africa". Good luck

That's a lot of changing around to do.....maybe you could switch the 3 nights at the Swan to the AKL and this way you would have 5 nights at the same place rather that have to do so much switching??

Just wondering which DVC Resort will you be staying...if it's BWV or BCV you would be near MGM and Epcot for five of your days....instead of 3 nights at the SWAN you could maybe then have five nights at WL....being near MK....princess:

Oh you poor thing, to have to "endure" WDW for an extra 2 days!
:cutie:

I haven't stayed at AKL so I can't compare. We just returned from WL and LOVED it!! It's wonderfully relaxing. I posted a whole bunch on pictures a few days ago. I think they are on page 2 now if you'd like to see them. The boat transpertation is wonderful! :boat:

They are both wonderful resorts. I think it's just a personal perference as to which "theming" and location you'd prefer.

Have a wonderful time! :wizard:

Wow-cancelled your flight! I just have to ask-which airline did this to you?

First time we have used them. Unlikely we will again, despite the "generous" $30 voucher they offered as compensation.
