need advice on rent/ transfer procedures

Hi I have a question about renting and transfering points. I Have read all the great info and have my contract from a post already, my pay pal accoint set up so I am eady to get going but my points are not available till Dec 1, 2008. I will have 308 to rent that are banked and 300 to transfer. So do you wait till Dec 1 has passed to post them on the the rent transfer board? are do you start looking for someone and post them a couple of weeks or a month ahead of time? Any insight would be helpful. Thanks.

You could post them with the information about what time frame they can be used for reservations. The points you get on Dec. 1 2008 could actually be used for reservations now if borrowed but that is not always a good thing to do as a rental unless you have a no refund policy and get a good deposit up front when reservation is made and the final payment upon receipt of confirmation papers. They can be used for reservations that start after Dec first which can be booked now. Banked or borrowed points cannot be transferred but transferred points can be banked. If you currently own the points you can post your info now - if you are buying a contract that will not close until Dec you will have to wait until then as you cannot make any reservations until you have your member information.
