Need Advice for December Trip

We are currently booked at SSR for Dec. 3,4, and 5. Because of work obligations we won't be able to go during that time frame and are trying to rebook for Dec. 5,6, and 7. As most of you know, there are no studios left for Dec. 6. We are currently on a waiting list for SSR and OKW for a studio for those days and I've also checked into a split stay with a studio for Dec. 5 and a 1 br. for Dec. 6 and 7. Is there another strategy that I'm missing? I really hate to miss this trip as our APs expire on Dec. 8. I'd appreciate any ideas that you fellow Dissers have.

P.S. I'm also considering paying cash for a room at a moderate for Dec. 6 and 7.

Are you on a WL for just Dec 6 or a WL for 6 and 7? WL are now all or nothing so a WL for one day only has a better chance than a 2 day.
Most WL resuests go through on the 30 day mark, so overall I think you are doing the correct thing. (WL with a cash resie as a backup)

The only other things, there's always the chance a 2BR might be available when a 1BR or studio is not, also AKV and BLT are in active sales so DVC members keep getting more and more inventory available there. I would try calling back regularly to make sure something does not open up there, too (but there may be many resies at SSR and OKW that are WL'ed for BLT and/or AKV, which in turn opens up your WL)

Thanks, hakepb. Since we already have the ressies for Dec. 3,4,5 we are on a Wl for the 6th and 7th at SSR. If that comes through we'll cancel the 3rd and 4th and be all set. Our second WL is for the Dec. 5,6, and 7 at OKW. since we didn't already have ressies there we had to WL for all three days.
The problem with the 30 day mark is that we'll have to cancel our ressie for the 3,4, and 5 before the 30 day mark for the 6 and 7 comes along. If we're lucky we might be able to rebook the whole thing. Thanks for your reply.
