Need advice for best view, AKV studio SV

Just booked at AKV savannah view for May 31 - June 5 in the Jambo House. Should I note a request for location? I don't want a view of construction or will that be complete by then?

There will still be construction on part of Kidani (Sunset Savannah). I would request Arusha or Uzima savannah.

I am considering another trip (shh..DH doesn't know!!) later this year, just the girls and me. We want to stay at AKV, savanah view. Shoul we stay in the Jamba house or in the new AKV or after they open up the new section, will that be the only place you can book for the villas.

There will be villas in both Jambo and Kidani. If you are booking a studio, the rooms are the same in either. 1 bedrooms and up are larger in Kidani. Will you be using Mara, the counter service? If so, I would book Jambo. I think it was a big mistake that DVC did not put a counter service or quick service in Kidani.

According to the member website, a regular Jambo studio is 365 square feet vs 366 for Kidani. Not sure about the closets. There is a big difference in the 1 bedroom - Jambo is 710 vs 807 in Kidani.

I'm not sure there will be a big difference in the storage space. Yes the Kidani studios have a broom closet with some hanging space (similar to the closets in some of the dedicated studios in Jambo House) but they have the same wardrobe units where only one side can be used to hang clothes (sorry this image is so big!) and the same dresser. Why would they only put a rod on one side? If you have 4 people using the room, they can't all hang their clothes on the one side. That is really a downside compared to studios in the other resorts where there is a full closet.

I wish I knew! They are putting in this big wardrobe but based on the one in the model room, only half of it can be used for clothes. Either more hanging space on the right side or two or three shelves would have been very useful.
