Hi, we are sailing on the Magic Oct 22, 2005 and our beloved Virginia Tech Hokies are playing on ESPN at 7:45 pm on the Thursday night of our cruise. We all want to see the entire game and I have a couple of questions?!

1) Is ESPN always available or can it come and go depending on where you are?

2) we have requested late seating so dinner in the dinning room is out. We also realize this is our formal night and the menu looks great! What are the chances of poping in and gettting the lobster tails to go? Also, I have read that sometimes the Topsider's is open some evenings for dinner, are there set nights this is open?

3) Diversions is where we were hoping to watch the game, is there a chance they would not have it on? Will they have snacks available?

4) I was thinking maybe we would just get room service and bring it up to Diversions with us, is that allowed?

5) I also was thinking of Palo for this night, but we must be in front of the TV prior to 7:30 and the earliest seating is at 6pm, is that correct?

Does anyone have any better plans than the ones I have come up with?

OH, in case it helps, we are two adult couples, myself and DH and my parents, no children.

Our last cruise was in December, and we sat in Diversions and watched several different games. However, I can't remember if Sunday night football on ESPN was on, or if we just watched the networks during the day, though. However, I would be willing to be that they will have it on, since Disney owns ESPN.

As far as food, they have a nice little munchie spread of wings and things like that in Diversions, but if you are looking for something with more substance, I think the room service idea is great! It's all one boat. I doubt if they would care.

I'm so glad you asked this. My DH is all worried about missing the UGA vs. South Carolina game in september. I hope someone knows the answer. I'm afraid my DH will not get on the boat if he can't watch it.

SCDizneyDawn, When we sailed last year they had several games on in Diversions on Sunday, but am not sure about what they played during the week. Hopefully your DH will be able to watch the game. I don't see why they would not have a major channel like ESPN, but I truly do not remember. I know that they served snacks that day also. They had BBQ wings, bread, nachos - the basic football foods.

We too are sailing on the 10/22/05 cruise. Jump on over and join the DISmeet board. We have a great group already forming and one of the members has put together a great website for the cruise.

Hi American Scrapper! I have posted over on the Oct 22 post, but I had my tonsils out last week and have been spending very little time on computer since before Christmas! Just had to post this cause all of us were very curious what our options were!

I will be over there more soon!
