Just wondering if you awesome DISers could help. We are taking a trip in a few weeks, staying at the Boardwalk Villas and will both have ECV's.
We are booked for the Hidden Treasures tour at Epcot's World Showcase and we are considering the Keys to the Kingdom tour at MK.

Wondering if anyone on this board have done a tour in a EVC before...can you offer any tips? (both adults that can walk some...but not much!)
Are these tours EVC accessible? Will we be able to hear the tour guides etc.?

Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2

I did the Keys to the Kingdom tour in May '05 and there was a man in a scooter. He did have to transfer when we did Pirates and Haunted Mansion. When we went downstairs to the Utilidors the guide put him in an elevator and we met him downstairs. The tour was very good, by the way. Our guide (Cory) told us he loves the first tour of the morning because the groups are usually smaller, so he can be more interactive with the guests. We had headsets, but didn't even need them.

I have probably taken every tour they have at WDW and have not had problems using an ECV. The only problem I have found is some, such as Holiday Magic, where you are on and off a bus a lot.

It happened that the bus was not the regular city-type bus but airport type. Since I was able to negotiate the stairs (very slowly) we were able to just fold down the tiller and seatback and two people lift the ECV into the luggage compartment.

The important thing is to let the people at 407-WDW-TOUR know, when you make the reservation, that you have an ECV. This is very impoortant, since if they have more than two people in wc/ECV they will be prepared to handle them. Otherwise they will have to delay things by having to suddenly gt additional transportation.

I asked that same question awhile back, Here's the response I got from a friend that just returned home. I use a ECV and was concerned too..

"We took KTTK last Friday. My mom was in an ECV as was another women. There were no problems what so ever. There was a few times they had to take an elevator while we took the stairs- mainly into and out of the Utiladors but our guide took extra care of them. So don't worry. You will have a GREAT time!!! Thanks so much for the wonderful responses!! I'm keeping the Hidden Treasures tour I have booked and I'm booking the KTTK one today. I'm sure we'll get along just fine!
