Hi!

I need some advice. My DD is almost 21 months old. I wanted to get her a doll. I don't know if I should go with the American Girl Bitty Twins or get her a My Twinn doll.

She loves dolls, plays with them quite a bit. I want to get her something durable since she will be playing with it.

Does anyone have any preference? The My Twinn is 20.00 off so it would be 59.99, the Bitty Twins are 79.99, hopefully I can find a coupon code if I get them. I would love to get her Jess, but don't want her to ruin her. I did get her a My Disney Girl that I am going to give her for our trip in December.

I think I may be leaning toward the Bitty Twins, since she would have two of them. The My Twinn is a cute idea, but none of the faces really look like hers.

What do you guys think?

You probably wont find a coupon for the bitty twins, they are far and few between them!

My daughter has a bitty baby and loves her. She is also going to get the twins for either her 3rd bday in June or if she potty trains before then..( looks like she is getting them in June...lol)

I wanted to get my daughter a my twinn but they didnt have one that looked like her ( even if we did custom) so we went with Bitty. My grandmother ( before she passed away) bought on for all 5 great granddaughters

I would go with the Bitty Twins or Bitty Baby. They are durable and if something happens to them you can send them to American Girl and they will fix them. All the clothes and accessories are really cute too.

Do you think your 21 month old child would get frustrated with the clothes and accessories? I don't think my kids would have been able to dress and undress a doll at that age. Are the Bitty Baby clothes easier to maneuver than the AG Doll clothes? I might get the dolls and maybe a stroller or the Moses basket (which is adorable, by the way) and leave the extra clothes for a later time. I would hate for your daughter to dislike the doll because it is too hard for her to dress.

I don't think that most 21 month olds would be able to dress the Bitty Twins. The clothes aren't much better then the AG clothes. The starter outfits (the pink and blue sleepers) are easy enough though. I would suggest forgetting clothing and get the double stroller, not the basket. We have both and DD uses the stroller ALL the time. Toddlers like to push things around, too.

Not that you asked but personally, I wouldn't spend that much on a doll for a less then 2 year old. I don't think that the AG dolls will hold up any better/worse then a $15 one from Walmart and even though you can have them repaired, you can buy several dolls to replace a Walmart one for the cost of the repairs.

What is a My Disney Girl doll and how do I get one? :sunny:

I'd go with the bitty twins. They are so cute!! I got my dd a bitty baby for her 1st b-day because I wanted something that she could keep forever. Unfortunately she never liked "baby" dolls, but she does like regular dolls. She's 6 now and has an AG today doll and Marisol. She's getting Jess for her birthday and she's saving to buy the My Disney Doll on our trip in December. So, we're huge fans, if you can't tell. What I'm trying to say is that I may be biased. :teeth:

They're like the AG dolls, but they have on Disney themed outfits and you buy them at Disneyworld. HTH's :thumbsup2

We have both...and honestly, my duaghters favorite doll (that is holding up better than the name brand ones) is a cheapo target one. I no longer buy into the higher price = better quality with dolls.

The bitty baby has lots of hair scraped off.

The most durable doll we own is a madame alexander one.

Oh...we have Marisol...we love her!

I find the regular size My Twinn doll to be kind of bulky and not as "playable" as a regular size AG doll.

We don't have a My Twinn Baby, so I can't really comment on that.

My DD does love her Bitty Baby and Bitty Twins! I think she was right around 2 yrs. old when she got her first one.

If you go with the AG doll code # A35422 will get you free shipping - good until 3/31
