Need advice about a vacation home

I think I've narrowed my search down to two vacation homes. One is with vbro and has everything we need. My concern is that it is at least $500 cheaper than any comprable home in the same community. That makes me nervous, why is it so cheap? The other one is in the same community, pretty much same amenities, with Florida Sun Vacation Homes, for $700 more. Does any one have experience with either of these companies and have a reccommendation? Thanks,

Well, I went through vrbo to find our vacation rental. These are usually listings directly by the owner. That is one reason why it could be cheaper than having a rental management company administer your listing - no commission needs to be paid. Maybe it's a new rental listing and in order to build up a customer base they've decided to start out with a low price.

You could always ask the owner for references of previous renters. The worst they can do is say no.

The cheaper priced home is direct from the home owner that might be why it is somewhat cheaper. They may have space inbetween 2 other bookings and sometimes it is on dates so they might lower the price of the booking? They migh be new home owners and just starting out some times to grab the booking you might lower the price for a short time to get started. You might be going off season that may lower the price. Call and ask as a home owner I would answer any questions guests you might have. Put the specific home on the dis and ask about it. Some one might know something home specific. Good luck in your search. There is a special home for you out there. I know it.

It may be because it is new. It was just listed in June. A new house in Windsor Hills. Should I call the owner and ask why is it so cheap? It is 5 bedrooms, game room, in May. $1000 for the week including tax, pool heat, and cleaning. It seems to good to be true! But I think I deserve to get a bargain since I have probably looked at every rental house in the Disney area. I think I'm losing my mind.

It is a good idea to look good not all homes are for all folks. Stairs are not for everybody. It is nice to know you have made a good fit. Have a wonderful time on your trip. Let us know how it turned out.

It is a bit low, but not by much. We paid $1100 for a four bedroom home in emerald Island with everything top of the line including huge flat screen TV, free computer with broadband and long distance calling, TV and VCR/DVD player in every room, game room, etc.

I think the prices seem shocking when you are used to paying WDW's outrageous hotel fees.
