Have you found a comfortable sneaker for walking that can be found easily? I'd love to get some firsthand - or foot in this case - reports. Thanks.

Try New Balance. They come in all sorts of widths from very narrow (AA) to extremely wide (EEE).

I was just going to suggest New Balance as well. I don't have wide feet, but I do remember seeing a huge range of sizes and widths. I'm sure you will find something that works.

Take it from one with a wide foot and who just came back from Disney. Go with New Balance. They come in widths up to EEEE. Also would advise getting a quality cushioned insole. The insoles in the New Balance shoes are replaceable and I noticed a world of difference after purchasing a pair of cushioned insoles at Just For Feet (also where I purchased the New Balance). New Balance should be available at most sporting goods stores and seem the be less expensive than a lot of the other brands.

Another idea! I have very wide feet, so I always buy a man's shoe in wide. They are wider than women's My personal favorite is the Nike Air in men's wide. Fits perfect, and they have several styles that look like women's too.

If you want some good walking shoes that are cheap for wide feet try the walker PF Flyers . they are sold at walmart and are very wide and comfy.

I have naturalizer's Charger double wide. Been wearing the same type of shoe for 10 years. Can put it on and go without much break in time. Never hurt or blister.

and I've found that Reeboks and ASICS fit pretty well. I especially like the Reebok DMS walk/run line. Nikes never fit me right. I've never had New Balance but my mom likes them and has wide feet too.

I just bought a pair of Reeboks for Disney, my second pair from the DMS line which should be nicely broken in by October.

If you have Kohls near you they run some amazing deals from time to time (everything is ALWAYS on sale!). I got these for $36, 'suggested price' listed at $66.

Meredith :D

While I agree that New Balance is good for wide feet, I have another suggestion from my own experience. I bought Rockport Walking Shoes (they look just like regular sneakers) in a wide width at our local Kohl's. I didn't get to do much in the way of breaking them in beforehand, but they were very comfortable and I didn't get a hint of a blister or ache in my arch or heal where I sometimes have problems with alot of walking. They worked out fine. ;)

I wear Saucony running shoes, some styles come in wide widths. I find them to be much more comfy than New Balance, Reebok an Nike wide sneakers. They are not as easy to find, but if there are stores like Famous Footwear or DSW Shoe warehouse you can get them at a discounted price. Also, Lady Foot Locker does not generally carry many wide sneakers, but they should have a catalog by their register where I have ordere wide Saucony shoes. Good Luck!
