Need a room recommendation for VWL! Pls Help!

The last time we had a HORRIBLE room. (Over dumpsters, and the trash gets hauled away EVERY morning.)

Are the dumpster view rooms just those two studios at the end, or does it stretch farther towards the elevator?

We have stayed at VWl many times. To avoid the dumpster view, ask for somewhere near elevators. Arriving early really helps to get the requests met. No guarantee but it does seem to help.

So is the "woods view" the woods view towards bus stop or the woods view towards lake? And does it matter which floor? Is the dumpster noise just as bad on the fifth floor as the first floor?

I've read you can see them from at least one of the dedicated 2BR's also.

The dumpsters are on the side towards the bus stop.

I haven't had a dumpster view but have walked down there. I wouldn't think the noise would be any different depending on the floors but a ground floor might be better b/c there is a solid fence and at least you wouldn't see them.

Also, if you ask for a lake side room, you will avoid the dumpster view.

We just got back from a 3 night stay in room 1559. Really a far walk from the lobby, I was with my DM who can walk but uses a cane. It was not what I had hoped for, but it worked out fine. I never heard the dumpster noise, our room was quiet and beautiful.
