Hello everyone. I've been reading the forum for the last few weeks but this is my first time posting here. I (so far)am really interested in buying into DVC. Still have to convince my wife.

I dont quite understand the rules around the referral and gift card. Does it have to be a referral from someone in your state/province? I am from Ontario so will that make a difference?

I just got our offer accepted by the seller and it has been submitted to Disney. I am happy but wonder if Disney will ROFR us. My agent Rachel thinks we have a good chance, but I am not sure. Here are the details- 150 pts. with UY Dec. $76.67 per point. 107 pts. available until 12-1-08, 300 pts in 2008(150 banked from 2007) and 150 pts. available for 2009. Anybody out there have any thoughts if I will get it.

I'm from Fairbanks, Alaska and I'll be glad to refer anyone as well. We visited the demo units at SSR and have a great guide to contact, so please feel free to email or PM me. We loved it so much that we bought into DVC only 1 month after leaving Disney. I'm also familar with Developer points and how they can be used.

Calypso - here's an update on the dual incentives. The Disney Visa Rewards credits were deposited into our rewards account a day or two ago - and our shiny new rewards card is on its way. We still haven't gotten the Visa Gift Card. We were told that the gift card would come 4-5 weeks after closing. We closed about a month ago so we should get it soon, if we are getting it at all. Technically we have copies of the signed paperwork for the gift card so it should be in the works.

I was hoping some kind DVCer would help us out with a referral for the $500 visa card. Our guide on Saturday asked a few times if we had a referral. I didn't exactly say no, but I got the feeling he was kind of hinting that maybe we could find one. I appreciate any help.
