Need a quick answer to a ME question

and where better to find it then here? I know if I read thru everything I'd find it, but I just need to be quickly informed.

I am using ME to get from the airport to the resort. I'm meeting a friend. She's using a car service & since we are flying home together, she offered me a ride. If I decide to go with her, I can't use ME to transport my luggage, right? (my airline is a particpating airline, so I would normally check in at the resort). And if I decide to go with her, should I call ME to cancel the ride?

No you can't use luggage service on the way back and yes, you should call to cancel the return ride.

The sticky threads at the top of this forum have great answers for you. "ME" and "participating airline" are not hand in hand. You can check in your luggage and get your boarding passes at your resort if you are flying with a participating airline and it doesn't matter if you take ME or not.

You should however let ME know that you will not be needing their services for your return trip to the airport.

If I am not understanding this correctly, somebody out there, please correct me.

Yes, you can. If your airline is a participating airline you can check in at the resort, get your boarding pass and check your luggage through to your home airport. You can then make your way to MCO any way you please. I would also suggest you cancel your return trip ME reservation once you are sure you won't need it. (I personally would wait until after I arrived!).

1) You cannot use ME to transport your luggage if you don't use it to transport yourself

2) You can use RAC, even if you don't use ME

If you are flying on a participating airline, you can check in with RAC, drop off your bags and get your boarding pass, then get to the airport however you want.

That is correct. Point 1 applies to your arrival day. Point 2 applies to your departure day.

Sorry, I was thinking about ME taking her luggage back and her not on the bus...(where are my brain cells). YES YOU CAN use the luggage service to check your bags and get your boarding pass. You should still call ME and let them know you don't need the ride back.
